Lizzie Dickerson began her Pilates journey in 1996, when a dance mentor recommended she use the method to rehabilitate after a serious injury. With Pilates as the core rehabilitation plan, she was able to heal and regain pain-free movement without a recommended surgery. Career and life adventures have included serving in elective office, sailing, farming, raising children, and teaching. Lizzie is certified in music and technology education, and also holds a master’s degree in public administration. She completed training through Power Pilates in 2015, and spent four years in Colorado teaching mixed level classes and private sessions for individuals with special cases. "Pilates is a gift. I did my training because I realized I had something to pass on, and it gives me so much joy to see the results in my clients," Lizzie says. Returning home to Maine in 2019, Lizzie lives with her youngest son on a farm dating back to the mid 1800s and teaches from a studio in the loft of a historic three story barn.
